Excuse my ignorance, but what does this mean? He threatens to ‘primary’ members of Congress?

I’ve tried searching, and that wasn’t much help, employees of said member are to quickly start looking for another job. Something happens at the end of term… And a Time magazine article, which was beyond useless in explaining what it is.

    I’m none the wiser… 🤷

Congress members in the US are elected in constituencies. For each constituency each party typically fields one candidate. Before the actual election, the parties hold primary elections to determine the candidate for the constituency for that particular party. Pretty much anyone can run in these primaries. Your chance of winning very much depends on the support, i.e. funding you have. If Elmo decides to fund candidates that would challenge the incumbents in the primaries, he could likely unseat quite a few of them on account of having a lot of money. And yes, this is all deeply undemocratic.

Agreed, and it’s worth noting the Republican party has done the same thing to candidates who weren’t far enough to the right.

Looks like Musk has been hitting the Ketamine again. He’s going to be wearing a diaper permanently if he keeps this up. Not that anyone cares about him I guess.

He’s gonna be the first person denaturalized for his “nazi rhetoric” as a theatrical farce of normalizing deporting US citizens. It’ll be in a “this is what u dem’s asked for” way with tv propagandists showing hand selected tweets calling for musk’s deportation from liberal pfp accounts.

I think it’s all theater to win over all the rightwing folx that he cultivated during this tour. These are the folx that are gonna be hurt the most from this bill and are just ignorant enough to buy a Tesla out of some weird culty appreciation. Mans trying to salvage a lagging brand.

If Elonazi actually manages to maintain the attention span to see this through over the next 1.5-2yrs, I’m all in and here for it… Popcorn Popcorn

But, the reality side of me holds little to no hope this particular tantrum will last. Especially given Mafia Don Mangolini holds the checkbook for all Elonazi’s gov’t “income”. 🤡 🖕 💩

The difference is that Musk doesn’t depend on Trump to remain relevant (or solvent). All those others absolutely do: They were nothing before Trump, and nothing without him.

The fact that musk apologized within 48 hours of his outburst and has all but hidden away with his tail between his leg legs for the most part the last few weeks is all we need to know man. A few token lines about opposing this bill so he can look sensible to his cult followers who swear he’s not a Trump sycophant unfortunately doesn’t change that

Musk definitely depends on government contracts for his companies. If Trump cancels those all his companies will take a big hit which in turn will take a big chunk off his net worth which is propped by shares in those companies. If his net worth substantially goes down he may run into issues getting credit which will affect him directly. Elon Musk uses his stock to take loans to fund his personal expenses among other things.

I do not like that Elon Musk.

Never uttered a word I believe or trust.

He has fathered and fled more kids than Nick Cannon.

With a soul and heart more grotesque than Steve Bannon.

When he goes to jail the world will dance.

Until then we can smile as he pisses his pants.

The best use of a Tesla, is having it on fire and blocking ICE traffickers.

…honestly, that might actually be a good way to protect our communities. Teslas would make for a decent gatehouse barricade at anti-trafficking checkpoints. Nothing of value is lost if a ICE vehicle tries to force their way through.

Elon’s only concern is those government handouts his companies have been getting.

He doesn’t care about the trillions in US debt, people losing health insurance or anything that doesn’t affect him.
