I’m a James! The third to be precise. My gramps went by Jack, and my dad by James, so I had to go by Jimmy. I still own it to this day. Other fun nicknames I’m occasionally called are Jimbo, Jymbo, Jambers, Jimboree, Jimbob, JimJam, Jombers, Jimothy, and Jammy. It’s fun having a nickname as the name I go by! Nowhere on my documents does it say “Jimmy” but that’s what everyone calls me.

I’ve never heard of “Jamie” being a nickname for James. It makes sense, and maybe I’ve just missed it all these years? My best friend in the third grade was named Jamie, he’s the only one I’ve known. I’ve known several guys named James.
