MAGA figures, including the president’s eldest son, have already resorted to insulting their own party members.

Mike Pence is poaching top names from the Heritage Foundation, of Project 2025 infamy, as he scales up another political comeback.

Pence, 66, is building up his own think tank, Advancing American Freedom, which will oppose tariffs, isolationism, and “big-government populism,” he told the Wall Street Journal.

The friend-turned-foe of Donald Trump said his group will stop propping up MAGA figures like Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who lacks a medical background, and will push to strengthen support of Ukraine.

To be fair, he’s less “cleaning it up” and more “spreading it around to create a uniform shitstain.”

Republican politicians have no principles, and Mike Pence is no different. This is a power play to develop a base of support so he can negotiate a better position for himself when he gets brought back into the fold.

When I’m sitting here and watching the cons doing all this infighting and backstabbing - and a lot of it is over that stupid skidmark Kirk - I’m reminded very much of conspiracy theorists.

I used to monitor a few conspiracy theorists and even if at one point one of them would have a certain character on their platform, they’d later have a falling out over some unhinged bit of doctrine, LOL, and the next thing you know, that person was part of the CIA, an Illuminati stooge, too aligned with the Jews, or whatever.

I guess it’s no coincidence that so very many cons engage in lots and lots of conspiracy theories, because many of their politicians and influencers behave exactly like conspiracy theorists (and I realize lots of them are clearly both, like Alex Jones) when it comes to queening out over lots of in-group drama.
