There’s a handful of black folks in Chicago that comprise a group called “Chicago Flips Red”, who have showed up to events promoting MAGA and decrying the Democratic Machine politics in the city. They are a tiny contingent that is not reflective of the sentiment of the vast majority, but I’m sure Trump will trot them out to exalt him.
I remember the black guys holding obama with a hitler mustache signs in public places. Never could decide if they were being paid or crazy or a little of both.

On Friday, the president suggested that the crime crackdown was requested by “the people in Chicago,” who he insisted “are screaming for us to come.”
Trump then claimed these citizens of Chicago who are clamoring for military intervention in their city “are wearing red hats, just like this one. But they are wearing red hats. African American ladies, beautiful ladies are saying, ‘Please, President Trump, come to Chicago, please.’”

No, they aren’t. They are a branch of the Federal military. Each State government is supposed to maintain its own “well regulated militia”, in case of Federal overreach. That’s what the 2nd amendment calls for…and it’s clearly needed now.
Something like 20 states still do… (and even more have them but they’re inactive)

No they aren’t. You’re thinking of the Reserves. The national guard can be activated by the federal government, but they are run by the state. Hell even the oath you take is to the governor of the state instead of the president.
If they can be “federalized” by the President…then they do not truly serve the State. He can simply overrule that authority during an emergency. And it’s pretty obvious at this point, he is perfectly willing to create an emergency in order to do just that.
State militias are something else. They serve the State, alone.
