This continues being so dumb. The words steak, burger, nugget, medallion, meatball, fillet, they all describe the shape of food, not the content. No one is accidentally buying vegan burgers.
But what IF I accidentally bought a vegan burger?!?! I could shrivel up and die from lack of manly man meat! /s
I accidentally buy the wrong cheese sometimes, do we have to put warning signs on cheese so I don’t accidentally buy something made from goat milk? Or can people start just opening their fucking eyes and read what they buy?
Oh good, this is still going on, is it? Slow couple of months for everybody involved, I take it? No pressing issues to focus on?
Such a lobby driven non issue
Ah, again some lobby based on their (intentional?) ignorance 🤦🏻♂️
We’ll just call them patties and continue to not buy meat.
I think this whole premise is a nothingburger. Let me see myself out, thank you.
nothingburger
You mean a nothing patty, surely?
I don’t get that about vegan people, you chose not to eat meat, then why do you want to eat food that resembles and/or tastes like real meat ? Just eat vegetables like they are and if you want to eat something resembling meat, just eat meat.
Because those products are delicious and versatile. Why would I accept that you gatekeep what I get to eat? I just don’t want to eat animal carcasses, is that concept really so hard to grasp?
Not a vegan here, but why do you prefer your pig to be the shape of a cucumber, add spices and change its consistence by heating it? Just eat the pig like it is 🐖
I bet you don’t get a lot of things.
Yes many other people pretend not to understand this obvious phenomenon even after hearing it explained 72 times. You’re not special.
i think veggie burgers and meat alternatives (beyond, w/e) are a good gateway for people getting into vegetarianism/veganism to eat something they’re “familiar with”.
Because people would still happily eat meat if it didn’t cause animals suffering?
Most of the time people that want to go vegan choose to try it that way. It makes it quite a lot easier as you don’t have to change your whole mindset from one day to the other.
You are also generalizing quite a lot. Think about that, it is not nice.
Vegans don’t usually want the taste of meat. It’s just marketed like that, and that’s what we see in the supermarket. I’d be fine if it just said ‘tofu chunks’ or whatever.
The similarity to the so called meat is by shape and seasoning.
The main and most important benefit is that it makes it easier for people to stop eating animal products.
also things like morningstar farms (patties, nuggets, crumblers, etc) are quick and easy for families to prepare a meal and are, often, pretty cost effective.
also morningstar farms chicken nuggets and annies mac and cheese is a quick lunch for a child that they’ll actually eat and is vegan/veggie.
ITT: weak guy feels butthurt because there are meat options that don’t involve animal suffering and torture.
Lol, good bait.
