I don’t believe in romanticizing dead people. When I die I’ll be proud to hear the boos of the haters. I mean, I won’t hear em cause I’ll be dead, but you know what I mean.
One of the things that makes me feel close to my late best friend is talking about how much of an aggravating dumbass he often was. He is one of the best people I have ever known, and that means I don’t need to metaphorically Photoshop his life for this to be the case. I strongly believe that if a person isn’t able to acknowledge the flaws in the things or people that they love, then that’s not authentic love.
I hope that when you are dead, there will be people who will lovingly rag on your memory.

I’ve debated what wording to use to make sure my funeral is part remembering me and part roast.
