Huh, I’m a cis white male, straight and everything, and no one demonizes me because I treat others how I want to be treated. Crazy concept right?

    I lean right

wearing a pin of the Waffen-SS

You don’t lean right. But if you had anything more than a rotten egg sandwich in your head you wouldn’t wear that pin in the first place. So any attempt in explaining is futile.

Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.

“Stop shaming me, let me live!” is something I either see textually or paraphrased in many of my interactions here… It isn’t everything, evidently far from it, but I think this sentiment has a little bit of responsibility behind these larger issues.

The biggest thing to understand here is that these three guys are just the ones we hear about. For every three people who come out and say this stuff, (the quote in the screenshot is actually the least crazy of all the things they say) there are more that are keeping it secret. And for every person keeping their Nazism secret, there are tens more that aren’t quite Nazis, but are still very racist and bigoted. As a society we must absolutely cease tolerating these people. Some people have argued it’s better to have them be unafraid to express their views so that then we at least know who they are. I wonder that too sometimes, but overall, I think I’d rather they be shamed into shutting up and keeping it to themselves.

Just incredible. I think these people are too stupid to understand how stupid they are.

In his interview with HuffPost, Fears tried to distance himself a little from the scene around him. He said of Richard Spencer, “I agree with like 75 percent of his ― he’s not ― he’s kind of a scam artist, in my opinion.” Asked if he identified as alt-right, he said: “I try and deny identity politics. That’s why I’m not wearing a white polo and all that stuff.” But he also served up a word salad of white grievance: “Like, OK, for one thing, say, you know, gay marriage, that’s cool, whatever, you know, except — that’s fine, I’m cool with it — well, then, what’s after that? The next step? This whole transgender movement, right? Well, if you don’t accept that, you’re a bigot, this and that. Well, that all goes hand in hand with being a white person.”

Asked about the pin he was wearing during the interview, Fears said “it’s basically just like an SS thing.” Explaining the significance of the pin would require an extensive conversation about World War II, he said. “And it’s my heritage, I’m German.”

Nah they’re just Nazis and they’re fucking around. I mean like yeah they’re really stupid but they know what they’re saying here. He says gay marriage is cool except that then you have to accept transgender people too (which isn’t even necessarily connected to gay marriage anyways) - but the implied conclusion is that because you shouldn’t accept transgender people, then you have no choice but to reject gay marriage as well. So he’s talking like he’s cool with gay marriage, but in reality he isn’t. When he says it’s his heritage, he’s trying to use the language of the left against them - saying that because this is his cultural heritage we have to accept it. He’s just not saying he’s a Nazi outright because he doesn’t need to, that’s what the SS pin is for. The strategy of Neo-Nazis is to create confusion and ambiguity around who is and isn’t a Nazi, to disorient their enemy. Same as every other bad thing we see today. It’s not about not having concentration camps, it’s not about keeping them secret, it’s about publicizing it and wrapping the public up in a haze of sophistry and definitional confusion about “what is a concentration camp, really?” Dog-whistling used to be done to operate in secret, now it is done to create plausible deniability and confusion that makes it difficult for others to organize against them.

That gave me a good chuckle. I’d have settled for calling him a mere bigot but then he had to out himself with that last sentence. But that’s what he wanted, right? To not be called a bigot? Maybe that really is the reason why they go from nothing to full-on nazi.

I’m starting to wonder if stupidity is part of masculinity.

Throughout life I’ve heard “men are so stupid” and reasons men are stupid are given, and quite valid. But then I realized I don’t do those things, so that’s even one less masculine thing I identify with.

Gender heteronormativity is a toxic mentality that people need to dismantle their association with.

I absolutely love going against the arbitrary cultural definition of “masculinity”. It’s absolute bullshit that just trains men to be sex obsessed idiots who think like a stereotype of a neanderthal.

To care for others over yourself? To strive desperately for a better future? Bravery in the face of certain defeat? To fight (perhaps futility) for the cause you know is right?

“Manliness” is never out of style my friend, it’s just the insecure machismo suckers pushing their former of “manliness” that craps is the concept!

How the fuck are people going about espousing an ideology all about rule of the strong that got crushed by the forces of democracy?
