Somewhat off-topic, but that’s the first time in a long time I’ve read a random article on the internet and just instantly liked the writer’s writing style without respect to the topic.

That was a depressing article, but a very enjoyable read.

As an American of Slovenian descent, who has never been to Slovenia, I am feeling some profoundly unearned pride at this.

Evangelical Christianity is nothing but a malleable garment that we use to dress up and cover whatever bigotries we want to preserve in our society.

It shows up for me on Voyager. I figure it is one of the more benign and wholesome traditions of reddit, and I’d be happy to see it take root here, especially since reddit will eventually exploit it if they haven’t already.
