Tulsi Gabbard, the director of national intelligence, has called for Barack Obama and former senior US national security officials to be prosecuted after accusing them of a “treasonous conspiracy” intended to show that Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential election win was due to Russian interference.

She said Obama and senior officials in his administration had “[laid] the groundwork for … a years-long coup” against Trump after his victory over Hillary Clinton by “manufacturing intelligence” to suggest that Russia had tried to influence the election. That included using a dossier prepared by a British intelligence analyst, Christopher Steele, that they knew to be unreliable, Gabbard claimed.

The post-election intelligence estimates contrasted with findings reached before the election, which indicated that Russia probably was not trying to interfere. In extraordinary comments calling for prosecutions, she added: “The information we are releasing today clearly shows there was a treasonous conspiracy in 2016 committed by officials at the highest level of our government.

Tulsi’s actions aside, a politician who has flip-flopped on every issue known to man, so no surprise, it is shocking to me to see so many defend Obama. He is a self-proclaimed ‘CENTRIST’, which is basically a republican-lite who governed as such. His campaign injected by money from bankers, which is why he bailed them out and left the working class homeless during the housing crisis. He was the king of drone-bombing during his reign, killing lots of innocent women and children, then in ironic and laughable fashion was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. He created a healthcare system not on the backs of medicare like the progressives wanted, but built with the healthcare and insurance companies, which is why Obamacare today is as bad as it was before he created it, only now they force everyone into it else you get fined on your taxes. He was no working class hero, just another neo-liberal nightmare.

Obama had a supermajority for the first two years of his first term. The D’s could have done anything yet did nothing. Then after they lost majorities they decided it was time to push their agenda but then had to make tons of concessions to Rs. Its either shitty governing or deliberatly failing to deliver policies the people wanted.

They passed the ACA. It could have been done a lot better, absolutely. But it still did away with things like pre-existing conditions and provided health insurance to millions who previously had none.

They created the CFPB with the Dodds-Frank act. The GOP has spent years since trying to kill it, but it still exists and the point stands.

That’s a far cry from “doing nothing”. Or did you actually mean “I, personally, can’t remember those years so I’m just going to say they did nothing.”?

I’ve got to wonder how old you are if you’re going after the affordable care act like that. It was a bill that barely passed as is, even though they had to give a ton of consessions to Republicans to make it pass and it still did a lot for the average american.

I don’t think even Obama was happy with how it turned out, but something was better than nothing. In comparison you’ve had the Republicans continously erode that progress without having a single plan on how to fix it.

Fair. Liberals celebrated the lawsuit over claims of rigged Dominion machines. Morons never seem to grasp the concept of precedent.
