Trump must not remember the USSR siding with Hitler at the start of the war, the Berlin Wall/Airlift, the Cold War, both invasions of Ukraine, the Battle of Khasham, or a hundred smaller things. Such a mystery.

In 1987 trump went to russia. When he came back, he took out full page ads in the NYTimes sucking russias cock. He has been an asset since then. Somehow, people still can’t figure this out.

      USSR siding with Hitler

You realize that the Soviets attempted to ally with the western allies before the Molotov-Ribbentrop was signed - only to be turned away, correct?

      https://web.archive.org/web/20250120090519/https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/russia/3223834/Stalin-planned-to-send-a-million-troops-to-stop-Hitler-if-Britain-and-France-agreed-pact.html

And that 70% of Nazis killed during WWII were at the hands of the Soviets?

And that the prevailing line of thought in the early postwar era is that the Soviets did the most to win the war?

What kind of liberal ahistorical knots are you twisting yourself into?

Stalin planned… The new documents, copies of which have been seen by The Sunday Telegraph.

Comrade, this is bullshit evidence of a bullshit plan from a bullshit source.

But even if that were true, they didn’t. They happily invaded Poland and went on invading until their best buddy turned on them.

USSR pulling a victim card in the ww2 was brilliant and they got to keep entire Poland and much more.

From your linked article: "The offer of a military force to help contain Hitler was made by a senior Soviet military delegation at a Kremlin meeting with senior British and French officers…The new documents, …show the vast numbers of infantry, artillery and airborne forces which Stalin’s generals said could be dispatched, if Polish objections to the Red Army crossing its territory could first be overcome.

It’s not surprising Poland didn’t want hordes of Soviet troops in their country in 1939. A worry proven very correct when the Soviet Union and Hitler invaded Poland mere months later.

What kind of liberal ahistorical knots are you twisting yourself into?

You don’t need to carry water for the Soviet Union. As stated above, it’s clear why people didn’t like the Soviet Union then and don’t like Russia now. Again, just look at the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2014 and the Russian invasion of Ukraine, again, in 2022 for some glaring examples of why people don’t like Russia.

Trump is a moron, as if nothing changed in 85 years. Except Soviet unions was a totalitarian regime, ands so is the Russian federation today.
Europe also used to (mostly) love USA, because USA helped us in WW2, now we can’t cut the ties fast enough.
All of Europe is working hard on ridding ourselves of US weapons and services because of Trump and MAGA and what Republicans in general have become.

Russia is a fascist state now, and so is USA. So of course we hate both of you.

Yes this is so sad, but we’ve kind of seen it coming since George W Bush was elected twice. I really hoped Harris would win, and it would have been a completely different situation now. There are lots of good Americans, but unfortunately too many Republicans have been hellbent on destroying everything for decades.
Seeing Mitch McConnell sitting at a hearing with his yellow/blue tie makes me sick. He has been among the major forces to destroy democracy in USA.

My partner works with some Ukrainians who are here temporarily until the war ends. I cannot begin to imagine what life must be like for them, some have husbands or children in service. What will life be like when they return home, will they have a house left, a job, infrastructure… Must be pretty damn awful to live with these thoughts day in day out.

So much for the American dream and the pursuit of happiness. (I guess by ignoring everyone else it makes it easier for America to achieve!)

“And then I spoke to President Putin at the time. He lost 51 million people. He (sic!) fought with us in World War II.”

Well, for a WWII vet, I guess Putin is still looking pretty good?

    He didn’t. Trump also didn’t.

OK, looking at how Israel and various cutthroats are perceived by the west, it’s a valid question why Russia is seen differently.

Bro just authorized the deepest attacks into Russia yet, but he still can’t make you guys happy. Are you actually daring him to cut off support?
