My partner works with some Ukrainians who are here temporarily until the war ends. I cannot begin to imagine what life must be like for them, some have husbands or children in service.
What will life be like when they return home, will they have a house left, a job, infrastructure… Must be pretty damn awful to live with these thoughts day in day out.
So much for the American dream and the pursuit of happiness. (I guess by ignoring everyone else it makes it easier for America to achieve!)
