Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) on Wednesday introduced a bill that would pull the United States out of the NATO alliance.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) said she would co-sponsor the bill, while Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) has introduced companion legislation in the upper chamber.

“NATO is a Cold War relic. We should withdraw from NATO and use that money to defend our own country, not socialist countries,” Massie said in a statement.

“NATO was created to counter the Soviet Union, which collapsed over thirty years ago. Since then, U.S. participation has cost taxpayers trillions of dollars and continues to risk U.S. involvement in foreign wars,” he added.

Russian asset does Russian asset things.

"Massie was one of just six House members who voted against a bill to call on the government to collect evidence “related to war crimes and other atrocities committed during the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.”

“Massie was also just one of three House members to vote “no” on a bill to end normal trade relations with Russia and Belarus, which has supported Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine, as well as a bill to ban imports of Russian oil, coal and gas.”

"Massie was one of three House members who voted against a bipartisan resolution in which the lower chamber said they would stand “steadfastly, staunchly, proudly, and fervently behind the Ukrainian people in their fight against the authoritarian Putin regime.”

“in 2017, Massie had met with Maria Butina, a Russian citizen who was sentenced to 18 months in prison in 2019 after admitting to acting as an unregistered foreign agent to infiltrate conservative political groups and influence foreign policy to Russia’s benefit before and after the 2016 election.”

“he (Senator Mike Lee), alongside Kentucky’s Rand Paul, were the only two senators who voted against imposing financial sanctions on Russia for interfering in the 2016 election.”

"Sen. Mike Lee received a visa to travel to Russia this week, according to his spokesman, after the Kremlin denied visas to several of his colleagues.

Democratic Sen. Chris Murphy of Connecticut and Republican Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, both members of the Foreign Relations Committee, said last week the Russian government refused to grant them visas."

Massie’s brand of libertarianism has made getting out of every intentional organization and treaty a big part of their America First white nationalist message for a long while.

This goes back long before Putin.

I’m genuinely curious to see what qualifies as compromat in the modern political climate. You’ve got folks fully undeterred in running for office who have been held done dead to rights on child sex trafficking charges. And you’ve got AI generated slop used to smear people in municipal elections.

Meanwhile, this is policy Massie campaigns on. It’s not like he’s risking his neck to run on leaving NATO. It’s his whole brand.

There are definitely pictures of Trump wearing a propeller hat and getting spit roasted by Putin and Kim Jong-il, while Epstein jerks off in the corner.

That includes bringing every soldier abroad back home and leaving Europe? If it’s included, as an Spanish citizen, I have only one question: where do we have to sign for that?

Thomas Massie, Anna Paulina Luna and Mike Lee should immediately withdraw from office so we can stop paying those Jim Crow relics their salaries. We should use that money to pay someone who will work for the people instead of total fealty to a dictators like Trump and Putin.

Libertarians will cut every federal program at arms length, but they’ll never cut their own salaries.

      It’s always other people’s money they’re after
