Rep. Adelita Grijalva says she was ‘sprayed in the face’ and ‘pushed around’ as agents descended on restaurant
Democratic Rep. Adelita Grijalva says federal agents fired pepper spray at her and others protesting an Immigration and Customs Enforcement operation in Arizona.
In a video posted on social media Friday, Grijalva said roughly 40 federal officers, most of them masked, pulled up in several vehicles for a raid at Taco Giro in Tucson, where a large group of demonstrators had gathered in the street.
There, she was “sprayed in the face by a very aggressive agent” and “pushed around by others,” she said.
She also posted footage of a heavily armored officer firing pepper spray towards her and others in the crowd as she approaches agents and repeatedly tells them “you need to get out.” The footage also appears to show a pepper bullet hitting her feet.

It doesn’t even have to go that far. There is a no way that assault of an elected official is not some kind of high grade felony in Arizona.

He can do whatever he wants, be charged and tried, and the only defense he needs is, “I was just doing my job.”
We need a constitutional convention to make some long overdue edits.
We just need the case reviewed. The 1982 SCOTUS was handed the wrong wording of section 1983 of the federal code since it was illegally edited in 1884 when the secretary “copied” The Congressional Record of 1881 into The Federal Register.
QI is already fully illegal according to Congress.
We’ve approached the time where the meaning of laws is more of a guideline towards our own actions. A law without official enforcement is just words on paper.
I think you normally get some serious time, but I bet you money nothing will happen to those agents that did this.

Not sure that’s actually the case. Most of the people that I know with firearms are either Democrats or former Republicans that have left because of the current Republican party shit.
But I’m also in southern AZ, relatively near Adelita’s district. AZ has been a weird purple-ish amalgamation shifting back and forth for decades now.

I live in one of the lowest gun ownership states and coincidentally, beyond the explanation of our most powerful scientists, there are very few firearm deaths here, even by cops 😌
They generally avoid doing this brazen shit in states and areas that are more armed.
People they are going after can’t really buy guns or don’t have the means. Also shooting someone in riot gear when they have 4-5 squad members with them isn’t too bright if you want to keep breathing.
They will start to go after the wrong people soon though, then you’ll see the real bullets fly.
