I honestly think she got on some drugs that are fixing something else with her, which I applaud. Either that, or Trump has some deep fucking dirt on her.
It was the Epstein files. She was hardcore for releasing them and Trump threw a fit and put a ton of pressure on her to give up supporting their release. She refused. Now she has broken completely with Trump, and she is receiving death threats to the point where she needs security.
Interesting how for years of hitting dems super hard she never needed a security detail. Makes you wonder who are the violents.
She wanted to run for senate and trump said no. She turned on trump and is trying to rebrand because he is a sinking ship. Saying that she had a hand in bucking trump who is going to take the fall for everone that does stay in power will get bonus points with the remaining republicans
She will show up on the ballot with a “D” next to her name next.

There’s also that despite being batshit crazy, she did push for a bill to both stop weapons from going to Isreal, and to release the Epstein files. She at least occasionally did something we agreed with, even if for the wrong reasons. She will likely just be replaced with some dipshit who won’t rock the fascist boat. Is it possible to somehow be worse than MTG by being a totally consistent dipstick? Yes, albeit by a fairly slim margin. In the current political climate, is that likely to actually happen despite the low odds? Also yes. Do I think that’s a good argument in putting up with that knuckle dragging yahoo being a publicly elected official? Eeh. Not too sure about that one.
If it was possible for her to be replaced by someone progressive you’d have a point. I don’t think it is though. I don’t want a potentially competent fascist replacing her. She probably did more harm to her party by sticking around, even just by going completely mask off to show other people how fucking crazy the conservatives are.
Yes in an ideal world you’re right, but we’re so far gone from that point that I would likely rather have her than whoever will replace her.
