Legislation next goes to Trump who indicated he would sign bill after he and his allies backed down from opposition

The Senate on Tuesday gave swift approval to legislation that will force the release of investigative files related to the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, following a near-unanimous vote in the US House of Representatives and a reversal by Donald Trump and his Republican allies who relented after months of trying to forestall the bipartisan effort involving a scandal that has dogged the president since his return to the White House.

The Senate acted by unanimous consent, which requires approval from each senator but does not require a formal roll call vote, expediting the process. Hours earlier, the House overwhelmingly approved the bill on a 427-1 tally. Once the legislation is forwarded to the Senate, it will be automatically approved.

We went from the house needs this new rep sworn in so we have enough votes, to near unanimous. Along with Trump’s about face I have to assume the edits are complete

Whatever is left of the files after the important parts have been marked “national security relevant”. Which is what the FBI has been doing in the last months.

Yeah very obvious to me they were just stalling for time and late finishing their homework. That perfectly explains Trump changing his mind back in favor of releasing the files.

They also have to deliver a report of everything that was left out and they are only legally allowed to leave stuff out for specific reasons.

Specific reasons being a blanket to redact whatever they want.

Don’t hold your breath, it won’t come out intact.

Can I? I have no ability to hold them accountable. I would want to, but that’s not something that the government plans to do from now on.

How many days until this is NOT released in full do you need to finally side with me. 30? 60? 90?

Are they hoping for a distraction from everyone’s healthcare costs doubling to quadrupling when the subsidies expire? Like if they just give us bread and circus we won’t notice how hard we’re being anally raped?
