Investors are pouring billions into New York City office towers in the biggest sign yet the work-from-home era is dead.

The surge in commercial real estate investment is the latest indicator landlords and skyscraper owners are betting that the remote work phenomenon will be a pandemic-inspired blip.

I will not return to the office just to justify some shitty middle management position that adds no value to the company or economy.

I support ya. But if they fire you, you gonna be able to get another job? What about all the people who don’t do IT stuff, what do you think they’ll do?

Last time I was let go I filled out one application and ended up with 3 opportunities 2 of which made offers.

I’m not very worried. Plus I could always work as an electrician or HVAC tech with minimal additional training.

Most office jobs don’t require in person work but companies lose their leverage when workers are remote.

It’s all a scam to protect poor management from shareholders and frankly we should be pissed because as shareholders we could have better productivity and happier workers.

I get it. I dropped out of the workerdrone workforce, to start my own company. I’m my own boss and I don’t have to put up with anyone’s shit.
