“Máax ba’ate’el, jach yáanal.” (No one walks for you, only your steps move you forward.) — Mayan proverb
A surprising discovery from a tiny grain of asteroid Ryugu has rocked scientists’ understanding of how our Solar System evolved. Researchers found djerfisherite—a mineral typically born in scorching, chemically reduced conditions and never before seen in Ryugu-like meteorites—inside a sample returned by Japan’s Hayabusa2 mission. Its presence suggests either Ryugu once experienced unexpectedly high temperatures or that exotic materials from other parts of the solar system somehow made their way into its formation. Like discovering a palm tree fossil in Arctic ice, this rare find challenges everything we thought we knew about primitive asteroids and the early mixing of planetary ingredients.
Oh, I’ll always be here. Forever. Can’t get rid of me. Ever. :)
But then imbeciles like you have never been good at listening to anything that doesn’t tell you exactly what you already want to hear
Again with the name calling. And what exactly do I “want to hear” in an article about autism?
Wow, more insults. Do you have a problem with reading social clues and getting along with people? Did you read the article? Because it may be of particular interest to you. That’s not an insult, but in our exchange, you are being very rude and it seems to me like you are misunderstanding my replies.
Your attitude make it seem like you haven’t read the article. If you don’t like it, don’t read it. Do you realize how cringe it is to get mad because someone reads something you don’t like. It’s almost as if you have fascist tendencies. Do you think books should be burned too? Hmmm…
It’s a fascist shitrag and regularly makes things up.
Nope. Funny how you have to bring up politics in a non-political comm, though. Seems like you have some ulterior motive here.
Never trust them as a source, and definitely stop reading them every day
I like them and I even have a paid subscription. thx
I’m sure there is, but just because you don’t like them doesn’t mean that ALL of their stuff is bad. Reading the article, it’s obvious that they didn’t make the story up. I read the Daily Mail every single day, and it’s really no worse than US news sites. And in fact, many times they break news before I read it on US news sites.
This should be interesting news for a whole lot of the Lemmy stalkers and serial downvoters I deal with.
from the article:
‘Dr. O’Connor took the fifth when asked if he was told to lie about President Biden’s health and whether he was fit to be President of the United States.’
She definitely deserves the scorn, and she should regret what she said. On the other hand, I don’t condone the people who said they are “internet sleuths” who are going to spend all their time harrassing her. Stalking is never cool. I know, because I’ve had it happen here on Lemmy just because I post news articles that some incels don’t like.
A little public shame is well-deserved in her case though, just hopefully people don’t go overboard with it.
But this was a natural disaster. Nothing could have prevented it (other than people not living in a flood plain–that’s another conversation though). This exact same thing would have happened, at the exact same time even with Harris in office. It’s a rain storm, and a flood valley, which by the way, has been flooding like this for thousands of years. So we can’t even blame this one on global warming.
Exhaustion or not, implying that 9-year olds deserve to die slowly in a flood in the middle of the night is one of the more hateful things I’ve heard anyone say lately. 9-year olds didn’t vote for any presidents. It’s sick, and I’m glad she faced immediate feedback for it.
She’ll eventually find a good job again. But those children won’t come back. And their families will forever be feeling this loss.
Maybe it’s because most of Lemmy doesn’t have children. I do though. Thinking of how scared those children had to be when all of this was happening, makes me sick to my stomach.
And I don’t get what Lemmy is so “exhausted” about. The average Lemmy commenter makes way more than the average person in the US. You all bitch about rich people, while making 80 to 100K a year. Newsflash: that’s actually rich.
She talks just like most Lemmy commenters: heartless, callous, and privileged.
I like Sam Altman. From the article:
Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI and co-founder of ChatGPT, issued a scathing post on X telling saying he had disowned Democrats because the party has ‘lost the plot.’
‘The Democratic party seemed reasonably aligned with it when I was 20, losing the plot when I was 30, and completely to have moved somewhere else at this point,’ he wrote.
‘We should encourage people to make a ton of money,’ the 40-year-old tech boss, who is worth $1.7 billion, wrote.
‘I’d rather hear from candidates about how they are going to make everyone have the stuff billionaires have instead of how they are going to eliminate billionaires.’
Like most of Lemmy lately. Israelphobia Lemmy all over these days.
Again, all things that have been said about them for the last couple of years.
People have been saying that for a while now.
exactly like most politicians
hahaha yeah, that’s more accurate. Good one, mate! have my upvote!
She issued an apology and said she was wrong to say that stuff
