Find one with the full text of the commandments. They’re a lot more interesting. My favorite is number 10.

You shall not covet your neighbour’s house; you shall not covet your neighbour’s wife, or male or female slave, or ox, or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbour.

Those handy little posters only mention coveting wives and goods, but it’s important that they know God says slavery is totally fine, just don’t covet your neighbor’s slaves.

Have then in the oldest English you can find. Old enough that it can’t be read by most people.

If you got told which format, use it as a study. critical thinking is good

Exactly. If there are people from other faiths to be made comfortable, include them. If there are atheists, choose a moral framework that’s line with your/their/the school’s values and put that up there too.

Post a sign above them that says: “which of these would you replace and what would you replace it with that offers better moral guidance?”

It’s not supposed to. That’s the point. If you aren’t one of us (straight white republican christian male. WASP is outdated), you’re not one of us, and you’ll be reminded of that at every opportunity. From school to the public places to the workplace.

Need a new acronym. SCReWM? Straight Christian REpublican White Male?

Put it on the wall and then cover it with the periodic table because you had important things that had to go over the top

Start a discussion on how society would be different if people actually followed those commandments?

Start pointing out some examples of breaking those commandments using current news articles (which will inevitably include high profile politicians including those who made this stupid rule in the first place)

Just one or two days before, I’ve read about an old Cherokee Chief. Somebody read some parts of the bible to him, and he remarked that this was actually a good book, and wondered why the white men were so bad, despite knowing this book for so long. Figures.
