    Not autocracy itself, but Trumpism has succeeded in normalizing the road that leads to it. And not only in America.

      Don’t call it “Trumpism” - that only validates this failure of a man, who really hasn’t done much with his life but fail upwards.

      This is conservatism and they’ve been working for decade upon decade to get here. This fat fuck only waltzed into the place and put his name on it. A dumbass like Taco wouldn’t have gotten anywhere with this party if they weren’t already wildly receptive to authoritarianism. Even if he dies, the conservatives are not likely to give up their decades-long project of fucking up America.

    From a European viewpoint? Hell No!
    From an American viewpoint? It’s complicated, but apparently 70% of Republicans are quite happy with the way things are going, and Democrats are powerless. So that seems like “pretty much”.
