Tense confrontations between police and demonstrators in L.A. continued for a second day on Saturday, in response to operations by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents

Donald Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, said he plans to send the National Guard to Los Angeles to combat protests against ICE that began this weekend following immigration raids in the city.

“We are making Los Angeles safer. Mayor Bass should be thanking us. She says they are going to mobilize—guess what? We are already mobilizing. We are going to bring the National Guard in tonight,” Homan told Fox News.

His comments come after Senior White House adviser Stephen Miller railed against the protests, calling them an “insurrection” against the United States.

I’m clearly more educated than you. It’s emotional reactionaries such as yourself that give the fascists justification to legally suspend our rights. Maybe spend less time at the gym and go find a library.

I’m saying violent resistance is the reason we’re about to lose rights and people to incarceration. Protestors will be too afraid to protest for their safety. I’m saying violence is not productive. Why is that hard to comprehend?

Because you’re losing those rights regardless of whether or not you fight. You can’t placate fascists. If you give them an inch they will take the whole mile, so may as well fight for the whole mile.

So it’s better to have no resistance than to let the fascists know we don’t love them.

Who said that? I’m advocating for peaceful resistance. We need more numbers. Violence only reduces them.

                  So nonresistance.

                  We need more numbers.

And this will be the excuse for doing nothing until we’re all in camps.

You need to stop using German history as a reference if you aren’t actually familiar with it.

The communists set the Reichstag fire in 1933. That emboldened Hitler to attack them as a class and deport them to Poland. There was a larger percentage of communists in Germany than our largest peaceful protest. You’re literally suggesting walking head first into repeating history.

Too busy licking the fascists boots to actually be educated. The fascists that are cutting funding for college universities that fight back against his antidei policies, quite literally using the military to end a protest, and using unmarked armed gestapo to disappear people.

re·ac·tion·ar·y /rēˈakSHəˌnerē/ adjective (of a person or a set of views) opposing political or social liberalization or reform.

The comment that I made, that you challenged, was that we need to keep resistance peaceful. Don’t lose the point. You’re advocating for a reduction in our resistance because your feelings outweigh your thoughts.

We fight this with peaceful resistance until we have more numbers in the streets or we fall like Nazi Germany, chipped away little by little.

It is not cowardice to refuse to walk into a trap. It’s strategy.

Trump is itching to enact the Insurrection Act. That will make growing our numbers far more difficult. Meanwhile, you’re advocating losing resisters to incarceration, scaring people back into their homes due to unsafe protest conditions, while giving Trump the justification he needs to strip our rights.

Do you always think with your feelings? You should try your brain. Logic and strategy know no cowardice. They only know how to outthink the opposition.
