    It says she was partially protected by her ski helmet but snow leopards (leopards in general) typically go for the throat unlike jaguars which can crush the skull. So her parka may deserve the credit for her survival.

        Not sure if this will satisfy you, but also snow leopards are smaller than regular leopards, so even less likely to go crushing heads.
