Noise is effective, but I feel like the noise would have to evolve and get More intelligent, which I guess would be ai deep fake series with , unirinically, crisis actors.
I only say it has to evolve because people would recognize the pattern of meaningless distractions and start to ask questions. Weather or not people would pursue answers or get a source that question the set of noise would be platform based or based on the person initiative.

We can get some stories from even before writing because oral traditions can carry stories till the invention of writing. That why I picked 50k years ago since I doubt stories could consistently last more than a few hundred years. I would consider writing that has been lost to time and destruction, and writing that need context outside of the story to be understood.
