the best part that your country will do this because the USA used it leveraged in the recent past to force your country to become amenable to it.

That’s their standard go-to line now: they can’t argue that the West is good anymore, it’s become too obvious that it’s not, so now they always resort to “but everyone else does it!”

It’s only more of the epstein shuffle. Those ships will be given back very soon now. It’s his last ditch effort before the compost hits the Cuisinart.

I wish liberals were capable of seeing the actual complexities of the world instead of thinking every single goddamned thing is actually explainable by one thing ever.

i hope that watching the only other world power resort to sternly written letters both w this and gaza like some feckless democrat is not a portent of things to come.

And china, russia, and the US break them constantly. We’ve been at a point of no respect for global rules-based order for a long time now.

One of those is not like the others. What international law has China broken lately? Russia has one strike w/ Ukraine (technically against international law ig regardless of whether you agree with their reasoning). Meanwhile the US breaks international law every week and has been doing so for decades.

Russia invaded Chechnya and committed an atrocious genocide in 1999-2000, invaded Georgia in 2008, then invaded Crimea 2014, then the Donbass in 2015. The full scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022 is not the start of history. Russia has plenty to things to hold them accountable of, even more if you go back into the cold war era and after world war 2. Not to mention their daily attacks on civilians in Ukraine.

China is currently illegally occupying Tibet since 1951 and it is daily committing crimes against humanity on the Muslim minority Uyghur in the Xinjiang. They have illegally claimed ownership of the South China sea (simply a formal name and does not mean it belongs to them) and are daily harassing and ramming fishing boats from other nations who have legal rights to fish there, a blatant breach against international laws.

These two nations break against international laws every single day. They are just like the USA. The difference is that USA pretends to be a law abiding democracy, while China and Russia doesn’t. They are both unapologetic dictatorships with nothing but malice and ill intent for everyone but themselves.

        Ha.

Unlike international law, the “rules-based order” doesn’t even exist. It’s a thing the US made up. It’s just a euphemism for doing what the US tells you. The US makes up the rules and expects countries to follow them. Why the hell should China or Russia play the US’ game of Calvinball?

Westerners always assume that, just because they break international law constantly, their enemies must as well.

Everyone including these assholes know that what they’re doing is illegal, the only reason they’re spinning it as copesthetic is to make themselves appear to be the good guys… they know no one is going to do shit about it except “bitch and moan because TDS.”

China has consistently been far more respectful of International Law than the West has been.
