I am Glitch Daracova, the breachforged cyberdragon, an immortal god to which age has no meaning. Fear me and despair. If you’re lost, consult my lore (hyperlink missing). My pronouns are Maj/Majs—short for ‘majestic,’ regal and divine, as in “Maj rules majs kingdom.”

    The Long War

it’s part of a setting that I’m worldbuilding. I keep lying to myself and saying that one day I’ll actually write the book. Think star wars, but with a pinch more cyberpunk, an entire shaker of grimdark, a not insignificant amount of nsfw content.

It’s my life’s work, and I’ve got jack shit to show for it.

  • Short answer, no.

There just isn’t as much content to scroll, and there’s no accomodations for separating communities by interest. Allegedly, piefed fixes this but I haven’t tried yet.

I’d like it if I could keep my news feed separate from my technology feed separate from my porn feed separate from gaming feed separate from you get the idea. Since it’s all blended together, it’s harder to stay on the platform. The same complaint applies to yourube, by the way.

  • maintain a routine. Actually get up when your first alarm sounds. Do real physical activity during the day (every day, but less on off days is ok). Don’t consume stimulants within 8 hours of bedtime. Don’t consume too much depressants (this includes alcohol). DO NOT TAKE A SCREEN TO BED WITH YOU.

Hit most of these and you should be ok. If you’re doing all of them and it still isn’t working, maybe see a doctor.

  • My problem isn’t quite like yours, but maybe it will help.

a couple years back I started streaming because I thought it would be fun. But then I stopped playing games because it felt like a job. So I stopped streaming but I still couldn’t just sit down and play like I wanted to. So I’ve started streaming again, and I try to get my friends to hang out in voice call while I’m streaming so there’s the added benefit of actually hanging out with my friends.

I have maybe a dozen subscribers and regularly get one or two views per stream, but I don’t care about that. I just want to enjoy some video games, and this framing helps.

  • Regardless of what your opinions on Palestine might be, Israel really isn’t beating the allegations right now.

I remember what I learned in school about this, it was described as a territory dispute between two equal belligerents. Maybe that was true 30 years ago, I don’t know, but it really doesn’t describe what’s going on right now.

The war is over. Israel won, Palestine barely even exists anymore. This is the part where you’re supposed to facilitate aid and win over the losers to your side. dafuq flavor of genocide you dune Israel?

of course, nobody who needs to read this will ever see it. I’m just upset that this kind of thing can even happen in current year.

Of course the second, I’m looking at current events like it’s still 2015. not sure why I’m doing that, but fuck does current events make me miss 2015.

  • Depends on who gets superpowers, and how such powers are acquired.

The broad strokes of The Boys makes some degree of sense if we start with the premise that some megacorporation controls the manufacture and publicity of all supers. However, if supers can come from other sources, then what limitations are we putting on the premise?

I am of the opinion that most people are inherently good. Most people are also inherently stupid and cowardly, but keep in mind that these circles on the venn diagram are independent of each other despite some overlap. However, if given an opportunity to choose between helping and hurting, without any fear of repercussions either way, most people would choose to help.

There’s a popular quote: “power corrupts”, which is a shortened version of “absolute power corrupts absolutely”. I think this quote misses something fundamental: “power attracts the corruptable”. In a world without gods, no one I’d ever trust to be one would ever actively make the choice to become one unless it was forced on them somehow.

If superpowers were distributed more randomly, then the odds of us getting a superman instead of a homelander improve greatly. Still a dice throw though.

  • I’ve started wearing molle pouches on my belt, so I have pockets wether I’m wearing pants or not.

I’m currently carrying 2 water bottles, my phone, my work phone, sunglasses, and several tools that I need constantly.

highly recommend, just wish they were available in fun colors and designs instead of exclusively tacticool bullshit.
