I buy local cheese from a man known in town as the cheese man. Way better than any American or big brand Canadian cheese. It’s not that much more expensive either. Find your town’s cheese man!

This is only marginally related but I just want to tell someone. I bought a more expensive Canadian bag of chocolate chips to make cookies today and holy smokes, they were immensely better than the other ones I usually buy. Way worth the extra 90c or whatever it was.
Hopefully this will all lead to us being more self reliant and having easier access to the awesome things that are already produced here. I’m also excited about more local beer in the liquor stores.
That’s funny, the Jerusalem Post blamed Palestinians. One other post I saw just said “Musk points the finger at everyone but himself” and that made me laugh.
If you don’t want it, I will take your username it’s awesome.
I don’t know about them, but it was pretty quiet even one year ago when I joined. Difficult to come from something as high traffic as Reddit.
While I agree with you, this news made me (a non American) smile. So I am glad it reached the world I am in.
I understood what jus sanguinis meant from context but oh my god does that sound gross. I never knew it was called that.
It makes me think of like a drippy blue rare stake which like, delicious, but also not how I’d want to claim my heritage.
It’s also very usable even without the subscription and doesn’t have (its own) ads. Just use ad block if you want to actually read any of the articles.
I don’t understand why someone would hate that they show both sides? Like, I’m not a centrist or right winger by any means, but it’s good to get out of the echo chamber sometimes. Everyone needs to be more critical of the media they consume and realize that not everyone thinks the same way they do. I don’t agree with the way the right reports on things, but I want to at least know what I’m not hearing that other people are.
I think Western society/individualism has erased a lot of this but for centuries before colonialism and still in a lot of indigenous and non-western societies, it’s expected to respect your elders and take care of them. In turn, they should be aiming to build that respect for themselves and to be a good ancestor for those preceding them. You see this all across indigenous belief systems - your society/nature will take care of you just as you took care of it.
The reason nobody did shit for us is because those beliefs have been overridden by colonialism and individualistic mindsets. Humans aren’t meant to be as selfish as we’ve become, that’s why we’re so unhappy.
Not stuck anymore but I was for like a month. I bought Pretty Litter cause multiple drag queens I liked told me to do so. That is the worst goddamn litter I have EVER used in my life. The smell was horrendous, the dust was so so bad I actually couldn’t even be in the next room when my partner did the litter because of my allergies, and our house looked like a fucking beach. Fuck those people. (And shame on me for falling for goddamn ads)
I’m pretty now that ankle socks are back in style, ankle tattoos of oldie cartoons are 100% allowed and cool again.
Nevermind: I got confused, ankle socks are out of style now.
…Trump-hating [Ron DeSantis] has disgraced himself by stating that [Andrew Tate] and [Tristan Tate] are not welcome in Florida!"
Did I miss something? Since when do DeSantis and Trump not align on their shit values?
But also, I mean, it doesn’t have to be said, but fuck all of them with a chainsaw.
Linkedin serves a professional purpose so I can see why it’d be the most consistently searched. Like even if people don’t actively use it, at least part its purpose is for hiring managers to be able to search a person and have their professional persona pop up. It’s the most accessible way to find a version of a person online that’s not restricted or under a pseudonym.
That being said, people that actively use it for anything other than keeping their resume up to date or job search/hiring are usually nutjobs.
Does it? My partner has learned some very strange words I have never heard used in mexico. But I guess the rest of Latin America also uses different dialects.
