7·14 days agoObviously not, but maybe we should focus on more tangible goals at the moment like stopping an active genocide, stabilizing American politics, and quelling the billionaire problem at the moment.
This is an admirable goal but we are very, very far from it becoming a reality for a whole host of reasons.
Tank the economy. The alternative is not better.

The masses have lost interest because they are, in fact, powerless. The Republican party specifically and career politicians in general have made it perfectly clear that they have been perverting and subverting every aspect of our governmental and legal systems to the point that the only option available to make positive change will be mass demonstration. Mass demonstration is extremely difficult here to begin with and in addition we have been culturally subdivided in such a way to make unrest seem like a localized issue.
How about we stop using blanket statements that imply all Americans are lazy, entitled, and careless like we aren’t on the brink of a civil war.
Man. Just get fucked with this attitude.

I can’t find it now but FWIW I just saw a video earlier today where Shane Gillis was dicsussing this. His reaction (at least in retrospect) was “You mean the 9/11 guys? No thank you”.
1·23 days agoI’m sorry, but don’t be ridiculous. That is not even remotely what the last commenter said. He simply pointed out that inaccurate hyperbole isn’t helping our position.
I am a construction worker in Texas. You are mistaken. I do agree that some light is starting to show through the cracks for people inclined to question what they have been told. There are plenty that are enthused about the actions being taken while simultaneously bitching about the state of the economy. Then they get mad and turtle up the moment you challenge their world view. I’m so tired of trying to rationalize people out of a position they didn’t rationalize themself into.
It’s coming. They’re officallt trying to “declare war” on American cities. There is going to be violent backlash, and unfortunately that’s exactly what they want.
