At Mozilla, Servo was basically a research branch that tried new approaches to push performance. Mozilla would merge parts from servo that brought significant performance boost. But when they were pushed to cut budget, instead of lowering executive pay, they shut down the servo team.
Servo, then spun off as independent project.
7·5 days agoAlternative if your brain/body won’t allow it: Try holding your breath. You might have control over that. The aim is to hold long enough trigger a gasp reflex which will, hopefully, shake you awake.

11·5 days agoI don’t know, showing off the things you stole sounds cringe. But hey, since they’re part of the West, they’re just “preserving” it and “ethically” sourced.
I don’t know about releasing an actual phone but they’ve released closed source patches for testing. They have the code but they can’t opensource the code until google does so publicly, so yes they’ve got a OEM partner.

A mom and pop store are less likely to send a damaged piece. They actually care about their customers.
You can strip ISOs of some bloat but you cannot strip M$ out of it , tho. And there’s always a chance an update adds it back in.
I had outlook appear back on one of my laptops after an update. I had removed it ages ago. Some services do the same.
So, are you going to limit updates too? That’ll make it vulnerable.
My point is, it’s just going to be cat and mouse game with “cleaning or stripping” Windows.
