More countries need to join in. America will continue to do what it does, and incorrectly think it’s okay- as long as the rest of the world continues to buy into our dumb shit by supplying us with trade.

Fucking cut us off of this won’t end well for anyone.

As an American, I super support this.

That is like .3% of our GDP, though. Not saying those numbers directly relate, but I think it’s a much smaller dent than 90 billion seems like it should be.

the worst part is knowing none of it was necessary at all; simply a tantrum by an idiot who wasn’t restrained by his own followers.

I do hope in the future there’s a better understanding: when conservatives want to visit, treat them as they would treat you. when conservative businesses want your $, send it elsewhere. you’re our neighbor, friend and ally, and deserved better than any of these events, especially from us.

there will be a reckoning, but our process sucks and it takes time. until then please know we’d rather be there with you, than here with them.

As an American who didn’t vote for this, I completely agree. Go Canada.

Seeing as America is now charging international tourists an extra hundred dollars just to enter their national parks, I expect even fewer people will be travelling to see them.

That way they can say no one uses them and sell them off to be exploited.

Plus it’s yet another administrative reason to collect every person’s data.
      Papers, comrade?

Yankees just don’t get it. Also - we hold grudges like no one else.

Credit where credit is due, that 90 billion is from a decline in total international tourism to the US. Canada makes up almost a third of that but this is a global effort! So, thanks to all you good people across the world!

It sure helps that from time to time another news item pops up about another traveler detained at USA border checks.
