I get it. Its not very funny and if you are getting lead from the outdoor spigot at your house you are getting it in your house. Truth is most lead exposure in the world was and continues to be from leaded fuels. All smaller prop planes burn leaded fuel… Its still being sprayed into the atmosphere. Yeah there were paint chips and leaded pipes in places but breathing it in daily is where the real damage was and continues to be done.
What I get from this comic is not what you all get from it. Sure there are a lot of stupid people around and there are fresh young ones coming up all the time. Some of them think some really silly things like drinking from the hose causes lead poisoning.
I think its really weird that people think its hazardous. You get more PFA’s from doing it than lead.
But not sure how they’d picture paint chipping off the wall in a way to connect the joke as quickly.
Maybe they should have had the 3rd pane say “we used to drink straight out of the tap” and the last pane should’ve been them testing a sink.
