@polle Dino also looks nice. And Gajim fits more at home on XFCE imo. There’s also Kaidan for KDE based distros and there was UWPX on Windows (which sadly was discontinued)
Iam using gajim daily, i would not recommend it. Dino looks and feels nice, but it’s sadly still too buggy :(

But it’s still great to have an open protocol which allows bridges more easily.

I’m not saying matrix is free of any issues, but it’s still better than xmpp.
Me too, sadly most clients are shit. Only conversation on android is quite nice.
