Thats pretty cool. I can’t imagine there’s a huge audience clamoring for it, but it must be pretty neat to be a fan of something and then get new material for it so many years later. Like can you imagine if like suddenly Fox opened up a vault and released like five more Firefly episodes that we never heard about? I can’t even imagine. I think it’d be one of those things like after a sports Championship where a city riots.
I think large part of firefly lore, at this point, is the fact that it was cut short. Awesome show.
8 finished episodes sitting in the can was really odd for the time. I would expect that production would be about 4 finished episodes ahead for a weekly show, and that is generous. But 8? I wonder if they finished the episodes after cancelation back then or if they did it recently.
It barely had any plot so you could stitch a lot out of cut footage.
It was mid AF but I loved everyone on the cast.
Not having seen it and only really watching Friends a few years ago because it’s my wife’s comfort show, the writing was the main problem? Or was Joey not enough of a character to be the solo focus of the series?
Everything on Joey felt so arbitrary–“let’s give Joey a love interest!” “Let’s give Joey a new black friend!” I don’t know who were the writers on that show, but it was a huge step down from Friends.
Created by Scott Silveri (Creator/Showrunner: Get On, Speechless) and his wife Shana Goldberg-Meehan, both long-time Friends writers.
Others included Robert Carlock (Showrunner: 30 Rock, Co-creator: Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Creator: Mr Mayor), Matt Hubbard (Creator: Forever, Loot).
And Friends writers: Vanessa McCarthy, Sherry Bilsing, Brian Buckner, Ellen Kreamer, Michael Borkow, Tracy Reilly, Doty Abrams.
did it rectify the fans complaints of the lack of demographics in the previous show.
I’ll be honest. I’d rather them unrelease 8 old episodes of this show if possible
