Everyone is different. No advice or template for showing affection fits for everyone. Still, parental love should be unconditional and that includes not requiring any particular show of affection.
My teenage kid stopped saying “I love you too” a few years ago. Tbh it stings really, really bad, but her job isn’t to make me feel loved. My job is to make her feel loved. End of story.
