“Whatever Donald Trump is doing in office, in the minds of Latinos it is not working. They have turned against him in massive, massive numbers,” said CNN data chief Harry Enten on Monday.
Enten pointed out that Trump was nearly tied with 2024 Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris with Latinos on immigration, where the former vice president enjoyed a 2 percentage-point advantage over Trump in October 2024.
Now, Trump has a -38 net approval rating with Latinos on immigration.
I don’t think Latinos are some stupid sub human group that can’t be held accountable for their own decisions.
We should absolutely hold them responsible for voting against their own self interests.
Blaming voters for things instead of politicians and campaigns is completely backwards and unproductive. Even if it wasn’t, I’m not going to blame them for taking the democrats at their word for what they were going to do. That’s nonsense. If your campaign depends on people seeing through your lies and still voting for you, it’s a stupid fucking campaign.
