But why?! The USA is a paradise for women! Isn’t that what Margaret Atwood taught us!?

The irony is the Conservatives wanted women’s rights removed and have them back at home to make white babies, because they fear the mixed culture. And they may now be left with a country mostly made of men, which will obviously shrink their baby birthing plan.

this forced birthing thing sort of reminds me of one child policy in a way… ironically no one is thinking about how this will impact men long term. women are just supposed to fulfill this need for companionship and reproduction without any reciprocation, even though everything on this planet, even breathing, is transactional. when we inhale we get oxygen and when we exhale we give CO2. it is physically impossible to get something for nothing in this world. if you want a woman to have your kids, you’ve got to pay her in some way. if you don’t provide for her, and she can’t provide for herself, it is physically impossible for her to have enough calories to produce a child and physically impossible for her to have enough money to raise it. that’s just life. and if you try to arm twist women (or anyone or anything else) into doing the impossible, they’re just going to totally disengage.

Can confirm. Moved from the Midwest and dated a Mexican, family “othered” me from that point onward. That relationship didn’t work out for unrelated reasons but now being with a French, can also confirm we would both love to move to his country, but the place we can make to most positive impact is, unfortunately, here. We don’t plan on having kids because we understand it does truly take a village and that kind of support doesn’t exist in the U.S. especially not now. Breaks my heart because he would make an amazing dad.
