Company ski trips to Whitefish were a big thing back in the late 70s/early 80s in Calgary. Why, when Banff and Kananaskis were just a short drive away, was always kind of a mystery to me.
But then, Carl in engineering couldn’t organize synchronized mooning in the hotel swimming pool. (They don’t want you back, Carl, you can stay in Calgary.) I guess there was a “what happens in Whitefish stays in Whitefish” vibe. That’s probably why the ski resort staff always seemed a bit grumpy and were never particularly friendly to us. Now they want us back? Ha ha!
