I’m pretty sure he is using ICE to trigger a violent response from the population so it “justifies” the use of the military against the population. To him, it hasn’t gone far enough because he hasn’t gotten that violent response yet.
This is what I really don’t understand. So the game plan is to use a violent response as an excuse to use a violent response?
At this point we’re looking at 10s of thousands if not 100s of people kidnapped, and we’re all doing nothing under this pretext. Is this message from the opposition?
The thing were all forgetting is that we don’t have to fight ice, we just have to fight billionaires and their security. The sooner we understand that, the sooner we can all sleep without worry
It’s a catch-22. If people fight back, Trump & Co steam roll us with the military to quell “the violent left.” As people have remained relatively non-violent, the state keeps upping the ante in hopes that the people respond violently, which in turn “justifies” a violent course of action from the fed. They’re only really heavily antagonizing blue cities.
The purpose of all this is to extinguish opposition in order to transform the US into some bastardized rosey view of the 50s where the majority of people are white Christians, where men are in charge and women keep quiet, and that they can control the economy from on high to further enrich “the right people” while keeping the poors at bay. This is all entirely spelled out in Project 2025. They’re trying to throttle anyone not in 100℅ agreement with their view of the right America.
I reckon the only way to avoid violence, and still fight back is with ruthless mockery. Make people laugh at how ridiculous and infantile everything Trump and his cronies do and say is. Bullies hate being laughed at. Look at how he reacted to Kimmel’s mostly mild mockery.
Millions of protesters in DC and a general strike until there’s some accountability, anything less and they’ll just try it again. The snap benefits are trying to prevent that but might be the trigger needed
The most effective non-violent action we can take is to organize a General Strike.
The country would be brought to its knees if suddenly deprived of profit and labor. That tactic was extremely effective in Chile in 2019, and had they not fallen for the trick of liberal reform, they would’ve had a successful revolution on their hands with virtually no bloodshed.
If you aren’t in a union (or even if you are, it’s worth dual-carding), please consider joining the IWW to unionize your workplace (bonus: you’ll get higher wages, better benefits, and more time off if you succeed!) to strengthen a general strike if we manage to enact one, as most unions have a strike fund that can supplement your income during a general strike to make it more financially bearable (you should also save as much money as you can reasonably do, so it can also be used to keep yourself afloat during a strike).
And for our international friends, you should join one as well, as fascism is gaining momentum globally. If your country isn’t listed below, just contact the IWW directly in the link above.
Trump really hates it when people remind him of the time his older brother put a bowl of mashed potatoes on his head while he was throwing a tantrum and his entire family laughed at him. It’s a core memory of his, and his first taste of shame and humiliation.
That made me think of Inside Out, which made me think of what Trump’s emotions would look like. This, but with ugly hair instead of sunglasses, I think.
I hadn’t heard that one. That’s hilarious. I’d like to see a reporter show up at one of his press conferences and not ask him any questions, just sit there quietly eating a bowl of mashed potato.
If I had to guess, to keep rallying their base. They still need continued support from at least a portion of the country to keep us fighting amongst ourselves. Once they have total control, they’ll cast them aside.
The left might protest peacefully but the right might not (ie: J6). When this happens the left will be blamed and shown as example, when really it’ll be one of their own people. They’re doing it cus it’s making them money.
The game plan is to get a violent response from the proletariat to lock the country down into martial law, and rule by deadly force. He becomes king, and his billionaire donors get more money (especially from for-profit detention centers).
He continues to either bring up, or gets asked about, the Insurrection Act. Problem is, he doesn’t have a legitimate reason to use it yet. Sure, he could probably imvoke it now since he has lawful immunity, but the optics wouldn’t align, so he has to help stoke the fire.
The billionaires, meanwhile, have insulated themselves from wrongdoing by the grander populace, as they’ve benefitted from decades long propaganda about “earning” their wealth. Meanwhile having sufficient power to influence laws and regulations, while building their own “escape” plans (bunkers, foreign investments and properties, etc.). Not to mention, loyalist security forces, including the National Guard (a private donation pay their whole next paycheck).

Good point, well made. We can still mock then at the same time though.
Agreed!
And that stops anything they’re doing how?

I wonder if that’s why his hair looks like that….

Seriously the more he gets pressed on this the more he’ll fold into himself.
I get all that.
They’ve already convinced the right, they don’t need this show for the right. They need this show for us, which they won’t get. So who’s it for?

You should be more than sure … this has project 2025 all over it.
