    Or better yet … more and more people will start to realize that it’s cheaper in the long run to just skip your loan payments. Even if you lose everything, how much more can you lose?

    And when enough people lose, the banks and corporations start losing as well. So it’s in the best interest of the banks to keep everyone afloat as long as possible to keep up the illusion that the system is still working.

    It’s a precarious balance between making people believe that they need to stay in the game and stopping them from thinking that the game is rigged.

        Great way to accelerate the country into a lawless state. As soon as you develop a system where you give people no choice and offer them either to submit or fight … more and more people will want to fight to survive.

        This is the main reason why civilization moved away from capital punishment. Governments realized that if you just severely punish people for anything and everything, people will see that the have no choice and just fight right away because they know they will be killed for it anyway no matter what they do.

      Only debt I have is a mortgage and I don’t like having that either but there isn’t really a better choice. Landlords are scum so at least I don’t deal with them anymore.
