I pay everything on my credit card and pay my balance in full each month.

I currently have a Chase card that I’ve only used to give me cash back on my purchases. It’s travel focused so I also get some perks related to traveling.

Anyone extra-satisfied with their rewards program card?

Edit: here are my rewards:

  • 1x all purchases.
  • 2x travel purchases.
  • 3x dining, online grocery, streaming services.
  • 5x chase travel purchases, Lyft, peloton.
  • $50 annual hotel credit.
  • One moth per year, 10% boost on the above.
  • Free DashPass membership
  • No foreign transaction fees
  • Visa concierge service.

It’s hard to make suggestions without knowing your spending habits and goals.

FWIW, the ultimate reward points you get from your chase card are typically worth more if you transfer them to a travel partner, like southwest.

I will say the card that I recommend everyone get is the Citi custom cash card. 5% back on the most spent category every month, up to $500. Don’t use it as a daily driver “everything” card, instead use it for just 1 category of purchases. I use it for groceries, because it’s rare to get 5% back in that category.

Yeah impossible to say except for “cash back” unless we know what OP likes to spend on. Tbh nerd wallet does a great job as long as you remember that they are being paid, so run through a few different scenarios, take notes, and see how it all stacks up there
