Anger among Disney staffers over Jimmy Kimmel's suspension is growing at the company as talks are ongoing to find a way to get the host back on the air
I’m sure he would have already if he didn’t have his staff to think about.
It’s hard to take a moral high ground when you end up leaving several dozen people out in the dust. Whether he genuinely cares for them (and I’m sure most people like at least some of their co-workers) or it would just be bad PR, walking away and leaving them with nothing probably won’t mesh with any message he’d be trying to send.
Starts another show where? Paramount’s not an option for the same reasons they canned Colbert. Doubt WB would take him with the rumors that they are looking to sell out as well. He could go to an indie like Dropout, but that means a smaller scale production and no way he can hire everyone back.
The problem with media consolidation is that it limits options.

I mean they did the podcast to pay their staffs during the strike, so yeah.
I meant quits ABC. He could start another show and hire everyone back. He has the means to do it, and plenty of people would watch it.
