Actually they are far better than we Germans think. I work with various active and former military members of various countries and Germany has a far better reputation amongst them than people think. Especially the ones who actively served along them in A’stan, Mali, the Balkans or in the various Marine missions are often fairly happy with them. The German army does have some capabilities currently only a few nations have - and while it has major issues, these are mostly coming from the political leadership and the procuring department.
