Allen Pan gets on my nerves. He’s a science shitposter which is great as I love that content generally. I just don’t like his personality and mannerisms. When he’s nervous especially he puts on a strange act. Really apparent if he’s part of a stage show like I saw recently with Open Sauce 2025. He’s otherwise perfectly fine.
I liked NDT when I was younger, but he’s really made being the smug “Um, actually” science guy his whole personality. Plus he sorta crowned himself Sagan’s successor.
Back in college a couple of my friends in the physics club got to have dinner with him after he gave a talk, and they confirmed that he really is that pretentious and self-centered.
