If I was cruising for dudes, I’d boycott. In fact, I believe the same conglomerate owns a bunch of other dating / hookup apps. We should boycott those as well.
The really incredible thing is, they banned “no Zionists” but still allow “no Jews”.
Which should dispel the notion that any of this is about antisemitism.
Wooooow. Good catch!
Do they let you say no fascists cuz that’s the same thing.
Alright fellas, time to put your mouth where your mouth is.
Does it allow synonyms like “no Nazis” or “no fascists”?
To ask is to answer.
That’s like saying “Islamism” is synonymous with “Terrorism” just because Hamas excuses their actions with Islam.
No, you are just trying to obfuscate by introducing religion into the discussion. Islam is not fundamentally different from Judaism or Christianity.
Zionism is not a religion, it is a nation building project. It is ethnonationalist (Jewish supremacist), expansionist (attacking and invading multiple neighbors), and extirminationist (genocide of Gaza).
I think the definition of Nazism is “a ethnonationalist, expansionist, extirminationist nation building project”, so Zionism and modern Israel is certainly Nazi. I understand other definitions of Nazism may include “Germany” or “1940s” so there may be slight disagreement on semantics.
I didn’t want to introduce religion by doing that comparison. I just wanted to point out that there are different types of Zionism as there are different types of Islamism. Some are oppressive and/or used to oppress while some are not. But generalizing is simply false.
For one there are multiple types of Zionism and historically Socialist Zionism was long the popular type. But recently unfortunately Religious and Revisionist Zionism gained popularity under Netanjahu. And Israel’s government want people to think that they are the “true” Zionists, but that is not true. Opposing Netanjahu and supporting Zionism is not contradictory. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Types_of_Zionism
Regarding your definition of Nazism and Facism, I think while Israel is becoming more and more authoritarian and it’s government is obviously right-wing it still doesn’t qualify as Nazism or Facism. If you like it or not Israel is still a (failing) democracy and there are Arab minorities living in Israel and are represented in the Knesset. I think it takes more to call Israel fascist, like a totalitarian dictatorship for example.
And just to be sure, I heavily condemn the genocide and famine happening in Gaza and by no means do I want to excuse anything the Israeli government is doing. I just want to stand in for a differentiated view on Zionism as it’s a very important and heterogeneous philosophy in Judaism. And furthermore I don’t think overly simplified images of an enemy are helpful for anybody.
Literally the opening paragraph of your own link.
The common definition of Zionism was principally the endorsement of the Jewish people to establish a Jewish national home in Palestine,[1][failed verification] secondarily the claim that due to a lack of self-determination, this territory must be re-established as a Jewish state. Historically, the establishment of a Jewish state has been understood in the Zionist mainstream as establishing and maintaining a Jewish majority.
How do you “establish a Jewish national home in Palestine”, particularly “establishing and maintaining a Jewish majority” in a place where people already live?
Theodor Herzl is considered the founder of the Zionist movement.
I wonder what the founder thinks?
“‘national judaism’ will make the ancient soil fertile. It seems miraculous. everything natural is miraculous. once the nation that we Zionists are arousing is fully awakened, things will happen swiftly and dynamically. Then the nation will behold it’s ancient land beautifully situated on the Mediterranean, with regions of cold, moderate, and warm climate - a land suited for any kind of cultivation, with long dormant natural resources”
…
"Spirit the penniless population across the frontier by denying it employment… Both the process of expropriation and the removal of the poor must be carried out discreetly and circumspectly. "
…
“We shall grant them loans in return for territorial privileges and guarantees. One of the most important concessions they will have to make to us is to allow us to have defensive troops. In the beginning we shall need their permission. Gradually we shall get strong, grant ourselves everything that we need, and be able to defy everyone.”
…
Oh…
Found the bad-faith zionist
Definition of Zionism according to Wikipedia, with sources there:
Zionism[a] is an ethnocultural nationalist[b] movement that emerged in late 19th-century Europe to establish and support a Jewish homeland through the colonization of Palestine,[2] a region corresponding to the Land of Israel in Judaism[3] and central to Jewish history. Zionists wanted to create a Jewish state in Palestine with as much land, as many Jews, and as few Palestinian Arabs as possible.[4]
Ethnocultural nationalist want a pure state with as few others as possible? While genociding those others at the moment and also already during the establishment of said ethnonational state?
Sounds fascist enough for me.
Id like some of what youre smoking because you would have to be high as fuck to say something so stupid.
It allows “Zionist” though so could you do “
Zionist” or “Zionists” 🤔I wonder if doing the old !-for-i trick would work
Or any of the accented letters…
No Zìõñïsts.
Ooh… This could be fun… No Zionißtß
I am new to Linux and I was surprised that you can grep these with
[[=single_letter=]]
regular expression. Might not work on non POSIX implementations though.
You could also use the spanish ones no? Fuck z¡on¡sts!
Are people still saying “no fats no Asians”?
