It’s not like the modern republican party, at least those in congress, is likely to impeach their own president, and seeing as he’s term limited, if Trump got another term, he would have had to throw out the constitution completely and unambiguously to do it, at which point he could simply throw out the “election” part too.

Two fold; first they lose the vast majority of their voter base and second they earn the ire of a lot of crazy dangerous people.
