Granted I have seen the writing on the walls for at least the 20 years I’ve been voting age, and almost every single person Ive ever known has been saying “your just being alarmist, something something bootstraps” when I explain what I see. It is only shocking to see how much it has accelerated in such a short time window. Capitalism has gone from a predator praying on a healthy populous, do a carrion eater picking through our remains for the last loose change we have, and meanwhile there is a group of people that know our country has almost nothing left to steal trying to push towards authoritarianism since they know a collapse is immanent.
