minus-squaremgnome@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up18·4 days agoThere was a comment from Kyslytsia on how Russians behave on such talks, and also what they themselves announced: demands to surrender 4 oblasts to them or they’ll be demanding 8 next time. talking about the war being “Russians versus Russians”. also the “need to remove root cause of conflict”. and my favourite: “no suing each other afterwards (entire delegation of theirs would stand no chance in Hague)”. also no reparations, but Ukraine has to pay for rebuilding of Donbass. One has to be painfully dense to not see which side isn’t “ready for peace”, and sadly we have no shortage of such folks now.
