Two weeks ago, he said he didn’t need anyone’s military support.

Now he says, he needs everyone’s help otherwise NATO is at risk.

I am not sure what it is now that he needs

Update ‘a couple of hours later’: he is yet again saying he does not need help. Lol.

The only country to ever invoke Article 5 was the United States. As things stand there is no scenario whatsoever in which Europeans will once again agree to fight and die in a futile American war in the Middle East. Let the Americans sort out their own mess. Perhaps we should even consider trying to find a solution to resuscitate the world economy together with China, India, Iran and other involved parties in the region.

I don’t think they can even trigger article 5 this time around since they attacked first.

It’s a defensive pact, you can people to defend you not to join in a war you started.

Not only a defensive pact, but limited to attacks in Europe and North America. The US did not want to fight colonial wars for European NATO members.

No you don’t get it. He’s the greatest person on this planet and should thank noone. Other people should thank him on their knees for even being allowed to be in his presence.

“NATO faces a ‘very bad’ future if allies do not help,”

That already happened when you threatened Canada and Greenland. NATO is no-longer top priority, cooperation around USA is.
Example of that is the EU SAFE program, where also countries outside EU are participating like Norway Canada and Japan.
    https://defence-industry-space.ec.europa.eu/eu-defence-industry/safe-security-action-europe_en

Another example from just this weekend, is the Nordic counsel, that had a meeting on arctic interests, with Canada, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Iceland participating. Where all agreed on strategies for the defense of the Arctic region, and it was stressed that all supported the defense of Greenland.
Another forum where USA is absent, despite also having arctic interests. But are unwelcome because of the threats against Greenland and Canada.

So the very bad future is already here, and NATO countries are preparing to be able to defend themselves without USA.
And this very bad future, is ONLY because of USA. USA has torn up hundreds of agreements with allies, and threatened with invasion, and is waging a trade war, and constantly threatening all sorts of bad things that will happen if we don’t do as USA says.
This is just another example, USA wants to force former allies into their illegal war against Iran. And is threatening consequences for not helping USA out of the mess they created.

So, first he tells the UK to not bother sending any ships because it’s too late and the war has been won and the Iranian military has been completely destroyed, but then somehow he needs everybody else to do something about Hormuz or he’ll get big mad?

He just refused help from Ukraine. Either he is demented, or he is just searching for justifications for pushing against who he consider the real enemy, Europe and Ukraine. Or both.

He’s such a dolt, that he sees getting help as admitting weakness, even when he needs it, and even when they are obviously better at it than we are.

In this case, Zelensky was offering their excellent drone technology, and which has been kicking Russia’s ass for weeks.

But Trump turned it down saying the “last person we need help from is Zelensky." He’s just spicy because Z refuses to surrender his country to a dictator just to make Trump look good.

Have you lived in America for the last decade? Trump can ALWAYS find a way to make it worse. For instance, he could order a draft.

I hope he does, that will make young people vote against him.

”It’s only appropriate that people who are the beneficiaries of the Strait will help to make sure that nothing bad happens there,” Trump said.

The most intelligent statement I have heard from Trump. What can rest of the world do to stop USA and Israel wage war in Iran?

it’s not Nato’s job to fight offensive wars for the colonial expansion project of a genocidal aparthied.
Netenyahu needs to bribe and blackmail many European governments like he did for Trump and US congress

I’d very much welcome clarity. Just like with a cancer diagnosis, clarity gives new impetus for dealing with the threat.
