Just SETI?
Also religion. And perhaps even the Apollo program. Maybe gamma ray bursts. String theory. The speed of light. Love. Hallucinogens. Free will.
That’s it. That’s the totality.
Let me underline my point for you.
SETI seeks to communicate with extraterrestrials.
In The Matrix the extraterrestrials are found outside your dream-coffin.
So the SETI program becomes less “radio telescopes” and more “red pills”
I got that before I commented.
There are no extraterrestrials in those movies, only terrestrials.
They’re implying both the machines of the Matrix and an alien force would be pretty similar as they both are far more advanced than a human. So for the humans trapped within it would be effectively the same.
Or at least that’s how I interpreted it. Have you not heard of metaphors?
