The Department of Homeland Security now says that two weeks of critical surveillance footage from within Immigrations and Customs Enforcement’s Broadview detention center wasn’t actually lost in a “system crash,” but rather, was never recorded in the first place. It is also arguing that, had the footage been recorded, it would be irrelevant because prisoner living conditions have improved since the time it was supposed to be recorded.

Honestly there should be punishment for when the story changes so wildly. Lost in a system crash to never recorded to begin with, both being complete negligence. One for not having proper backups and two for not having proper documentation to begin with. I hate this world where this will just be further brushed off with a wag of the finger from the judiciary.
For me it the lies confirm that the most likely truth is that they did record, and it looked so bad that they had to run with a lie, instead. Prove me wrong DHS.
