The problem with body armor is that it doesn’t protect all body area. Especially legs and arms. Thus saying, shotgun rounds are very effective against such targets, especially from mid to high range, so that buckshot round has a good spread.

The second thing is that even good police armor is struggling against medium to heavy rifle rounds like .380 and higher meaning, that sniper rifles are also effective against such armored targets.

man it’d be funny if for the next forty years you could identify who was a nazi supporter just by whether or not their right arm is all fucked up with buckshot scarring

Body armor is also useless when someone sets your home and family on fire. They have no idea what a civil war actually is.

Let’s be real: almost everything can be destroyed with fire. Even tank or military bunker. 😁

You can build or buy a 16" rifle chambered in .308, annoying to get the gas system working properly, but not at all limited to longer unwieldy rifles for defeating body armor.

The bite that a .308 round takes from a thick steel target is truly a thing to behold.
