I can see a continued/exacerbated erosion of faith in various institutions, and a corresponding use of state violence to maintain the status quo, but without a serious (well organized, with mass support) alternative, the current ruling class will stay in power and nothing will change dramatically. We’ll just continue along the downward spiral, same as before.
